I think I am going nuts
I don’t know what to do anymore.
I keep trying to find something that works for me but I just can’t find it. I think I found it and it works for a week and after that…. right back to stand still.

I am going bunkers if that keeps going like that. I see other people eating food they shouldn’t be eating, not working out all the time and still losing weight and here I am counting calories, working out pretty hard (at least I think so) and nothing happens. It’s driving me nuts.

Don’t worry, I am not going to give up, I guess I just have to keep trying…. I learned a few things already about my body (not necessary in that order):
1. Sodium = biggest enemy I have right now,
2. Water = makes a big difference (if I remember to drink it
)
3. Treadmill = working out on the treadmill alone is not working for me.
4. WATP and TAEBO workouts = they seem to work for me, burning lots of calories while doing the DVD’s, but guess not enough to lose weight.
5. Banana before workout = WORKS! (Thanks Nancy
)
6. Buddyslim = being here and having all you buddies is sooooooooo working for me
If it wasn’t for this site and all the great people here I would’ve given up a long time ago.
7. Planing meals = working, I don’t eat junk or fast food as a quick fix meal anymore.
And I think I figured out this week that everything white (white bread, white rice, potatoes, pasta etc) is my enemy number two when it comes to losing weight. Even if I stay within my calories, fat, protein etc. it’s working against me.
So for this week I am planning on changing yet more. Nothing white to eat for the whole week. (Well, don’t know if it’s possible to cut it out completely, but I will whenever possible) Let’s see if that does the trick. I don’t want to change to many things at once, or I won’t find out what’s working and what isn’t. Guess losing the weight will take me a little longer but as long as I get there I’ll be okay. Maybe nuts at the end, but at least I will be a slim nut

If you guys have any suggestions or ideas, please share. I am like a sponge right now, trying to learn as much as possible
Love you all! ((HUGS))

You sure I didn’t write this blog? ((((((((SABRINA)))))))))))
You are doing an amazing job!!!! You are a fighter! And yes, if it wasn’t for Buddyslim I would of tanked a long time ago.
I’m in the same boat as you! Hey remember I took a “break”? A one week break? It’s awsome. Anj lost 1.4 lbs after her break - the one she took with me.
I refuse to get on the scale but I feel stronger then ever.
((((((((SABRINA)))))))
You are doing great girl! I am glad that you are determined to continue working!!! Don’t ever give up! You are worth every drop of sweat and tears you shed! You can do this, you wouldn’t let me quit so you can;t either! WE are in this together!
Hi, I was wondering about the same thing when I saw that my husband lost 10 lbs during the stomach flu we both had, and I didn’t lose an ounce. And we were in the same boat.
I found this article today, it made me feel a bit less puzzled: http://www.webmd.com/diet/guide/ideal-weight-or-happy-weight
Just hang in there girl! With your positive attitude you are going to find what works for you!
Big HUGS!
haha i know how it feels it makes me nuts too ! just stay strong ! water and exercise i guess is the key things but u already know that , my doctor suggest south beach diet ( i aint tryed it nor do i know what u do/eat on it ) the doc says its the healthiest way , i may be wrong on this but im thinkin its eating low cal with the “good” carbs and “good” fat , maybe u can try it out for a month and see how it goes , i think most people on here do the low cal thing and that dont work for me , i do the low carb thing but i plan on changing my eating after i get closer to my goal im gonna stay on atkins but im gonna switch phases when i reach 50 pound mark since im still doing induction phase . were all different and our body will react in different ways , hope u find what works for you ! i wish ya the best of luck ! another thought ( im thinkin of what worked for other people ) we hear of people losin 100 pounds on weight watchers while someone else may of lost it doing south beach or atkins , so im thinkin maybe it aint “THE PLAN ” or ” THE DIET” i think just sticking to it is what makes it happen no matter what diet/plan u are doing !
i know i can see pics or read a story about someone who has lost 100 pounds and dream of it for me too but u know that they had to stick to it and i also know that they had downfalls and setbacks and it took them awhile too . it dont happen over night like we want it too but the good thing is IT CAN HAPPEN !
we can do this . hope u find the right eating /way of life that works the way u want it too ! good luck :>)
Oh guys I love you all
Thank you so much for your support and tips. Having the biggest smile right now…just knowing you guys are here makes me so happy.
NANCY: I am thinking of taking a break, but it might be still to soon. I am affraid I go back to my old habits if I sit out for a week. But in the future there will be a break from counting like crazy, working out every day. Still watching what I am eating, but just not going totally crazy over it. Love ya girl
JULIE: I will never quit. And you are right I wouldn’t let you quit either
((HUGS))
LEIDA: Thanks for the article I will check it out.
You would think that a body is a body and should work the same (at least the basics when it comes to burning calories), but that is so far from the truth. Would make it easier though
Thanks a bunch
BETTE JO: You bet ya… I will find what’s working, going nuts or nut but I will find it
((HUGS))
KHRYS: I was thinking about South Beach too, but I am always bad when it comes to diets. Knowing that there will be things I am not allowed to eat at all makes it hard for me to stick to any diet.
IT WILL HAPPEN for all of us
I am so happy to see you back on track though…you don’t even know how happy it makes me to see that you are back in it
How often do you switch things up, like doing weights instead of cardio or sprinting instead of walking for even a few seconds? I also take one “off” day a week that I eat a cheat meal, whatever I want, but still workout. It helps with mentally sticking to it all week but also the change in calories seems to help somehow.
Hi MJ - thanks for your advise
I used to do weight training twice a week with a trainer, but had to stop when my pay got cut
I run almost every day. Most at the time I do intervals (hills and runs) on the treadmill. Just love watching my shows while I am on there
I am trying to change that, but it sure isn’t easy (it’s the only time I can watch my shows
) I wanted to start running outside again so I get away from the treadmill. Did it once already
now I just have to keep it up
Maybe I can find a way to do some weight training at home by myself. Hubby wanted to but he is so tired after work that I really don’t want to bother him with that. He works hard all day and is on his feet all day long carrying heavy pieces, he sure doesn’t need no weight training.
Sabrina, I have been losing weight on Herbalife products ! Now I am not saying that you have to run out and buy it but it has been helping me but you have to stick to the eating plan or like me had to suffer the consequences of a gain ! I am losing inches like crazy and had lost five pounds then this week decided to mess it up and gained and I totally take responsibility for my actions ! I really hope you find what works for you ! Hugs, Kimmi
Bananas before workout? never heard that recomended. If you eat it before you are gonna get at sugar high and then drop, like, in the middle of the workout. bananas are more suitable for afterwards, when you want to convince the body that there are carbs in the system and therefore okey to burn off the fat. idealy you should eat something protein,(bar or a shake) and slow carbs,(like a handful of peanuts and various nuts)(unless youre allergic)an hour , hour and a half before the workout. cheers, just a thought
Thanks for the comments guys
I don’t think I am going to use any pills. I am just way to affraid of the side effects, plus what happens when I stop taking them? But I am happy that it works for you
It seems that if I stick to my plan with eating and workouts I am having a hard time losing. I think I either don’t eat enough or workout to much
Because if I eat a little more, the scale moves easier. It’s just so frustrating that there is no room for mistakes on my journey and seing that other people can have a really bad whole week and still lose. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy for you all, it’s just frutrates me that my body makes it so hard for me.
I eat bananas before a workout so I have more energy during my workouts and so far it works wonders for me. Now I don’t know if it helps or doesn’t with the weight loss. I don’t know anything about carbs, protein etc. I don’t have a clue what to eat when and why. Trying to understand it though, but it will take me a while as it is very confusing to me
But hey I try everything at least once and I might just change the food I eat before a workout and see if that makes a difference
Now this week I was sick and I am still sick, so another hurdle on my journey
Didn’t gain a lot though as I stuck to nothing white in my diet. Seems to work I think. So I will keep cuting out everything white as good as I can and maybe as soon as I start working out I will change the food before my workouts to for a week and see where it brings me
Thanks again…I appriciate any input you guys give me
